I appreciate the answer, jamz, but on a 7.3 the HPOP(I've got a 17* ready for install.........I hope) is on top of the engine under the fuel bowl. I keep hearing LPOP for the 7.3, but I thought they were on 6.0s........I'm confoosed.

Thats your fuel pump...

The LPOP is behind the damper, remove fan, remove damper, oil pump is right there... 4 bolts and its in your hands.

Every motor has a LPOP, it lube the motor, provides pressure to circulate the oil and cool it...

The 7.3, 6.0 also have a HPOP, it is fed by the LPOP (which really fills the res)... On the 7.3 the HPOP is in the front of the motor, behind the fuel bowl...

On the 6.0 the HPOP is on the back of the motor, behind (more or less) the turbo.

That is your fuel pump location.

HPOP is located on the front of the engine. It is behind the fan in front of the fuel filter housing.

LPOP Low Pressure Oil Pump is located on the bottom of the engine inside the oil pan like most internal combustion engines.
