DIY Exhaust brake question???

Seen a post for a DIY "Jake Brake". A friend has one on his new Dodge and I drove it today hauling some stuff, this thing was AWESOME. Seen some DIY posts but nothing specific to a 02 w/ auto trans. Can it be done w/ the EBVP like the older models?

Its not a jake brake, totally different, but the EBPV brake can be done. The schematic is the same on the OBS trucks as the super duties.

Will using the exhaust brake cause an issue if using a blow off valve?

I see that turbos have waste gates which is what would be used for the DIY exhaust brake. Sorry new to the turbo seen, my mustangs got a S/C so thats why I asked, along w/ the fact that a friend has a cold turkey (I think?) on his diesel I just assumed its a blow off valve?

I got ya, so no effect of having the "cold turkey" and doing the DIY exhaust brake.
