Tranny Cooler??
Hey Guys,
I took out 3rd and 4th in my oem tranny so I ordered a Heavy Hauler from NADP. Now Ford wants me to buy a new OEM tranny cooler. I can get 2 tru-cool tranny coolers for the price of one OEM. Is it ok for me to NOT have an OEM tranny cooler and run 2 tru-cool tranny coolers instead? |

I would upgrade to the 6.0 cooler since it's a direct bolt in of place of the stock 7.3 unit.

What about the tru-cool though. Does it not bolt into place too? I've never seen one installed but assumed it would bolt right in.

How do they install? (sorry for the dumb questions)

I know there is one guy on here who runs 2 Tru Cool 40Ks on his truck. I have my stock OEM and a Tru Cool 40K mounted at the front of my grille to the grille support. You can also mount it behind your license plate mount and remove that mount.

I'm running a 6.0 cooler myself.

If you want the best cooling for your truck, 6.0 has 31 rows, each 40K tru-cool has 14 rows for a total of 28 rows. Stock has only 9 rows. Make sure you get the 31 row 6.0 tranny cooler, they do also have a 28 row I believe. No more worrying about your tranny tems again.
