removed 10k mod, now check engine light is on.

Ok, so a buddy of mine did the 10k mod but got tired of the idle like i told him he would so he removed the resistor. when he removed it the check engine light came on, on his truck. If he puts it back in the check engine light goes away. I did the 10k mod a while back on my 02 just to see what it did and mine did this too, but i put it back in and when i removed it the second time the check engine light never came back on... so whats his problem?

You just need to clear the codes

no problem. My guess is its just a ICP code since it was used to seeing it with the 10k on there.
