I’m thinking of adding a (The Bully Dog Power Pup Triple Dog Downloader) to my 2001 f250 (7.3). My question is: would it be a good idea to add a programmer to a truck which has about 200k miles on her? Would the programmer have any negative effects on my truck because of the miles she has?

I wouldn't worry about that mileage, what i would worry about it that choice of programmer. You would be better off going with a custom tuned chip from DP Tuner, Total Diesel Performance, or Power Hungry Performance.

What Jake said. The Bully Dog isn't that great of a product as far as power gains, plus the off-the-shelf programmers like that have a tendecy to eat transmissions.

The bully dog sucks. Call someone that knows what there doing and get a custom tuned chip for your truck. He isnt a sponsor here but i love my tunes and chip from Matt Robinson at Gearhead. Also Bill at Power Hungry is very good. He is a sponsor
