Looking for my first Diesel 7.3 - Tranny Question

I've been reading about "weak" tranny's with the 7.3l. Does this only pertain to the Auto? or are their problems with the Manual as well?

I won't be able to test drive the rig I'm looking at prior to purchase - internet buy - any concerns with a manual at all?

Thanks

Only applies to the autos. No real concerns with a manual. The autos aren't dodge weak, but they definitely could have been stronger considering the engine in front of it.

The manuals have a better reputation, but if you start going after big HP the the stock clutch is a limitation. As far as durability though, the manual is head and shoulders over the auto.

Autos are ok up to like 400hp i think. Then a few mods are needed.
