Tire size and wheel offset for 6" lift?

I have an 02 ext 4x4. I am going w/ a 6" lift just wondering what size tires (prefferable 35/36) and wheel offset to use? I found some wheels I like either 18x8.5 w/ +18mm offset or 17x9 -12mm offset. Not sure if that will work or not.

The 17x9 with them -12mm will work (4.5" Back Space)....18x8.5 with +18mm would be for an 05-09 SD.

Personally, I'd do a 10" wide with a -25mm offset which is 4.5" of Back Space.

Depending on how you plan on using the truck and brand of suspension, either a 35/12.50, 35/13, 37/12.50 or 37/13.50 tire will fit.
