Custom trans coolers

What are people running custom transmission coolers. I am thinking of building a custom unit beyond the 6.0 upgrade. I have got myself a duel remote filter kit that will add two quarts to my system but I am wondering how big I can go and if there is a "to big" size.

What do you guys got/think?

i dont think you need anything larger than the 6.0L trans cooler... if your overheating with that big boy on their then you got bigger issues...

Well I just like tinkering and I am dropping the trans off for the rebuild in a day or two (i pulled it yesterday). I am just thinking about these big tires and 18000 pounds of trailer on from here to Lawton OK!

the 6.0 cooler with your external filter system should keep er well below danger zone. As long as the rebuild goes good and you run a billet tripple disk. i would opt for up dated clutch packs as well. if u dont mind ryan, how did you conjure up your filter system for trans?

Well I got one of these units eBay Motors: New Old Stock - Remote Dual Oil Filter Mount # 98034 (item 260395426927 end time Apr-27-09 13:22:02 PDT) and once I choose a good cooler I will get it all plumbed together. I have a friend that own a fittings store (hence how I was able to make those HPO X-over lines) so getting it all plumbed together wont take to long!

bigger is always better..... I'd try to get them as low as I could... that way it would "last" longer
