I'm posting in the General '99-'03 Discussion because I'm not exactly sure if this is a problem. On the highway, when going up a slight upgrade going about 65-75mph @ a little over 2000RPM, my EGTs are @ about 800* which I don't find a problem. But going up a slight-moderate upgrade going 45-50mph @ about 1700RPM it's @ 800* with little throttle. I know 800* isn't considered hot, but with little throttle going up a slight incline makes me wonder. Sometimes it'll almost reach 900* depending on hill or weather with the same amount of throttle & the same speed, RPM, etc, but never over. On the highway @ full throttle it'll reach about 1000-1100*, but once I reach cruising speeds, it'll drop down to normal @ a pretty decent pace. The only time it exceeds 1100* is in Street with full throttle, but......DUH! Even still, the EGTs will drop to normal once I release the fuel. Should I be concerned about the hill thing?

Phew! Thanks, guys. I just remember the EGTs being somewhat lower before I had my TW reburned, guess it was just me!

I use Daily almost 24/7. I use Light Tow once in a blue moon, & besides 2 weeks ago when I used Street(because my instructor said my truck didn't have nut), I can't even remember the last time I used it, Stock, or X.
