oil additives
I have a 2002 F250 with now 91,000 on it, I put over 1100 miles on it in a week. Does anyone add any Lucus or slick 50 to your oil when you change it? When I was driving cross country 18 wheels I put a gallon of Lucus in with each oil change. Does it hurt the injectors since the oil is used to fire them?

JB: {Many owners}-Mainly the serious owners who are members of all the PSD forums all over the net, stay away from the so called-->[Snake Oils]. I would never pour Slick 50 in my PSD, I would say the same for Lucas. These Injectors are totally different then any thing else and very expensive-->{As U well Know}.
I bought my 01 with 257K miles on her, with very pour oil change habits from the previous owner. Since then I have done 2 cleaning phases with Auto-Rx. Then changed oil with Mobil Delvac 15W-40. I change the oil once before Winter and Once Before Summer. 2 products that I can honestly tell You-->They do as they advertise. 1. LC20---www.LCDINC.com 2. Schaeffers Moly E.P. Treatment These are 2 products that I pour in my 7.3L. I use the Moly E.P in my summer oil change only. The LC20 is in the 7.3L yr round. My 7.3L really seems to like the Moly E.P. After about 9k miles after I began using these products, the wife asked me what I had done to the motor? She said it seemed to idle smoother, and was definitely quieter. I thought it was just me that had noticed, but I was floored when she noticed. That was enough proof for me. You can do more research on Welcome Last edited by Ghillie; 04-18-2009 at 05:38 PM. I agree stay away from Snake Oils. Get a good quality synthetic such as Amsoil or Royal purple.

That is some good NFO on Royal.
I'm glad I chose Amsoil.
