Agreed. I tell ya though, the compensated barrel on my XD9 is painfully loud without ear protection. Sweet shooting gun though.

Big news article last night about empty ammunition shelves. 45 auto ammo up to 23 from 15 if you can even get it. Lots of new gun&ammo buyers out there snatching up the stock and driving up prices. Should have bought back in October.

The good thing about guns is that they hold their value very well. not like a car or truck that falls in value and keeps falling!

I can not believe what the prices have done in the past few months. they created a hype and now everyone and there momma is snatching up guns and ammo because everyone is scared they are going to lose the right to bare arms. Trust me we wont. and If america takes it away move here to the counrty of texas! there are things in the news right now about the gov talking about leaving america and becoming a country! I LOVE TEXAS!!!

Well, which is it? "Trust me we wont", or "If america takes it away"?

Most rational folks believe in the "Better safe than sorry" axiom when it comes to things that really matter to them. So, those who can are buying. Supply and demand forces are driving up the prices.

As to secession, I think your Governor is just tying to boost his local popularity before the next election. However, if things DO go South,

If they (gov) decide to take the guns away I cant imagine how it would stand. Too many Americans would raise hell and it would get over turned. and if it does stick, I would like to see them take away our guns. it ain't going to happen. I am not from Texas but wonder what took me so long to get here I only have 7 guns and I am the lightest armed guy on my street! My 2 neighbors are in the 20s and 30s in their gun safes!

you should see all the rednecks around the office here. They all were freaking out about obama and as soon as the talk of leaving America came up last week they were happy and partying! Never seen so many happy rednecks other then at a nascar race! hahaha

I have a healthy collection and would happily consider texas for my next home state.

I don't think it is safe to assume that anything won't happen. Doing so will put us into a repair mode after it happens vs. preventing it. Remember Clinton's weapon bans? Remember when they "outlawed" magazines with 10 or more rounds and certain assault rifles? It happened once and can happen again.
