no dash lights

i have a early 99. and my dash lights and a/c light just went out one night. i checked the fuses and the ford dealer said the bulbs rarely burn out. has this happened to anyone else? if so what was it that caused it for you?
thanks

If it were me, I'd pull the cluster out and check the main plugs that go to it. Sounds like something came loose since they all went out at once. my second guess would be the dimmer switch.

I just looked in the book and its showing a Lt.Blue W/Red as the feed for the instrument lights coming from the switch. You might want to check to see if you have power on this wire before tearing everything out.Hope this helps.
