starting in 2nd gear

so i just had a question. i got the 4R100, and i was wondering if it hurts the trans to start off from a stop in 2nd instead of "Drive"

If you are stopped, it will still start in first gear even though not in D. From what I understand, the only thing putting it in 2 will do is prevent it from shifting into 3rd or 4th gear.

it starts it in first? because if i start in D compared to 2, i get accelerate a lot faster.

definetly! if i floor it from drive i can roast the tires. if its in second it will just blow black and crawl away
