Some general 7.3 questions

My 2003 7.3 PSD has had an oil leak since new. It appears to come from the torque converter dust shield, Ford ran a die test - found nothing. 50 K later there is a coating of oil around the starter motor, and dust shield. Oil consumption is normal ( FORD ) , an occasional single spot on the concrete below the truck. ANY ideas ?

HOW do you get all the fluid out of the 4R100 tranny? I had truck parked on level surface, removed pan ( after draining fluid ? ,changed filter. I measured the fluid that came out, only about 7 quarts. How do I pump out all the out Mercon ?
Thanks for any help !!!

some oil residue from your engine running down is pretty much normal, some comes from the intercooler tubes ,on top of engine , and running down ,not alot you can do about it , youll know if you have a leak worth addressing it will run all over the ground

you have to also drain your torque converter. Remove the dust cover and roll it around until you see the drain plug. That will help you get most of the Mercon out.

Some of what you are seeing as an oil leak may also be the assembly lube used when it was put togeather at the factory, a little thicker and sticky.
