broken flexplate

well i just took my truck to the tranny shop today for what i thought was bad torque converter but the tranny shop guy said hes about 90% sure its the flexplate just by listening to it. how does this happen my truck does make crazy power or anything? but i guess on monday the truck is goin down for a full diagnostic check for free then ill go from there. probally will be getting the full suncoast rebuild and converter with a tugger kit since the tranny will be out and i got 174000 on the original tranny.

I have heard of several flex plates cracking, not that unusual.
