fuel leak....again!!

I put new orings in the fuel bowl drain valve because fuel was dripping out whent the motor was running. this fixed the leak for about 2 weeks now its leaking again. It only leaks when the truck is running and its just a steady drip. Can i just plug the spout at the bottom of the valve?

You could but it will only blow the O ring out completely. Right now it is taking the path of least resistance. Where did you get the O rings you used?

I just replaced the whole valve with a new one from Ford and my gushing leak is gone. What I did to make the leak less of a problem was to put a hose on the outlet by the head and route the leaking fuel to below the radiator. Way less of a mess until I could fix it.

The new valve was not cheap but I figure I can rebuild the old one and have it ready for the next time.

well i ordered new o rings from guzzle, i got the best ones that are suppose to be military grade. we'll see if this cures it.

I kept having fuel leak issues on mine not too long ago. I went through two valves thinking the first was bad. After closer inspection it turned out that the fuel bowl lid wasn't on tight enough and it was seeping out around the rim appearing to be coming from the valve. I tightened the bejesus out of it and the leak stopped. I still don't know if the valve was bad to begin with but you may wanna try that, it's free at least.

Check you supply and return lines also. I had a little bracket wear a hole in one of them and would only leak when the truck was running
