Finally pulling....
...My engine to replace the rotted out oil pan.. I am really not looking forward to this, but as the engine is out and has 106,000 on the clock; is there anything else that I should do to prolong engine life (LP Oil Pump, Water Pump, Etc?) Should I replace the stock TC and Valve body now, or am I just throwing money out the window early and wait for the tranny to let go and then put the parts in??
I have two weeks....... |

I would check out the rods and mains why you have the pan off. This would be the best time to put a set in. If your not haveing any problems with the converter or valve body Id hold off.

I'd switch out the water pump, could be about time anyway.

I don't see what year your truck is but you make check and see if you have forged rods or not. If you don't now would be a good time
