check engine light

Yeah the 281 means your #7 cylinder is contributing as much as the others. The 1668 is most likely caused by the 281 code unless you have a chip. This could be becuase of the harness under the valve cover is coming unplugged and or burnt, could be the injector itself and god forbid could be a base engine concern.how many miles on the rig?The first thing to do is remove the drivers valve cover and check out the harness, ohm check it, if it's ok you should do a compression test then if that checks out replace the injector.

Engine Light on

Ok it is a 2002 F-250 7.3L 137,000 miles, I don't think it is a miss. Because if it was a misfire I would have a loss of power. I do have the ts 6 pos chip. The engine light came on right after I installed a boost gauge over the weekend.

DONT assume....just cause you installed stuff doenst mean it IS or ISNT related. ALAWAYS diagnose as if its a new problem....only keeping in mind newly done work...this always saves you from problems and ending up down the wrong road....

The first thing i would do though....since its free...is make sure you have ALL the stuff cleaned off the contacts in the PCM where the chip pluggs in. If you do...i would pull the right hand valve cover and make sure the UVC harness is ok. Ohming it can be deceptive because they can make good enough contact to ohm good...but not good enough contact to carry amperage.....so a visual on it is usually improtant. If it is keeping good contact....try to find someone with a scan tool to both buzz test and do a cylender contribution on that injector. Since its not missing....."killing it" wont do anything for you. let us know the results of this stuff....
