road trip on 41, got some ?s
well i am about to take a 8 hour road trip to florida, but the thing is i am gonna be rollin on 41's. i need to know what i should do before i leave, and also what egt is to much for highway speeds, right now at 80mph i am runnin 1900 rpms w/5-7 psi boost and 900 egt can i run that hot for that long?? and what are some simple things to lower egt's. thank you

EGT's will be fine, you can run 1200 for eternity if you wanted.

Shift out of OD... Your EGT's will go down.
Otherwise I pull all the way across the country pulling a trailer, most of the time I was between 800-1000 EGT's without issue. Like was said above, 1250 is the red line, you can pull all day at 1200-1250 and not hurt a thing other then your fuel bill... |

Yep. You want to have it as close to the engine as possible to get the most acurate reading!
