Pipe It

Gages that way you can base line the truck and note and see all the differences any mods make in the future. Plus if you get the gages and stumble on a chip for a good price you will be able to safely install it with out the extra cost of gages. You can always straight pipe it with a sawzall some pipe and some clamps which will be fine until you start pumping out mad power.

i would get guages and make it a straight pipe

i would probably go with the exhaust first. it'll sound good and lower your EGT's extending your turbo life. you shouldnt have to worry too much about monitoring your temps since the truck is stock. unless you already have a chip then i would do gauges first. just make sure you get gauges before you chip it.

Ok if i can scratch the money I want to do Exhaust and guages, Then save up for the chip. Some have said to do the muff del and get the guages and chip, would it not be to hot of egts with just a muff del. The down pipe is to small for the chip, is it not?

you can just straight pipe your truck using your existing factory pipe and you will be ok. although the temps will be higher, as long as you monitor them you will be ok. the bigger exhaust will help extend your turbo life because it will breath a lot better. i dont think it will be too hot with the stock exhaust as long as you dont just go wide open throttle all the time. if it was me i would probably save up and buy a combo kit from someone like raul at stealth auto. hes a sponsor on here. and i would also just straight pipe the truck and not worry about a muffler unless your worried about it being too loud or the local cops are writing tickets.
