Ive heard of poor milage but this is ridiculous

Hi all,

So this is the first diesel ive owned, so im a nugget. I have been reading the forums on mileage because my truck is sucking down the diesel. I got 34 miles on 15 gallons, roughly 2mpg. I was unloaded just driving to and from work. I was expecting to get bad mileage the way I drive it for just short distances every day but this seems ridiculous. I check the oil and it is fine, no diesel in it. I have checked the fuel lines and there are no leaks. I have a edge tune in it but don't think it would cause that drastic of a mileage dump. The only thing is I let it idle for at least 10min before driving it any where if it has been sitting for more than an hour, and I let it idle if im running into the store real quick. Any suggestions. This truck got great millage when I drove it on the freeway, but now it is just sucking down the fuel. Thanks

wow. that doesn't sound right. you sure you went 34 miles? and you're sure it was 15 gallons?

Ya seemed weird to me too. I thought I was misreading the trip meeter, but it was two black numbers and then the white ticker number. I guess it could be that the trip meeter is messed up too. Looking at all options at this point. Thanks

i let my truck idle 10 hours before and it didnt suck 15 gallons. i fel asleep well waiting to leave
