How does the foil delete make it sound better/cooler? and what does it sound like?

whistles in the cab a litle more its not a huge difference but it looks cleaner under the hood.

I think it sounds better, it is more of a "whooshing" sound. The ol' 7.3 isn't too quiet anyways so why not make it louder

Just makes the turbo whistle a little louder once it lights up. Its a PITA to get off though.

and if you add a wicked wheel to the equation it sounds even better

I did mine this past weekend, I used Goof Off, took about 30 min to remove all foil and isulation, had to soak it for 10 min after foil and most of the insulation was off. then just peeled sticky stuff off in strips. Ok, maybe a little longer, but wasn't the nightmare i was thinking.
So, that is why I have a whoosing sound now, can you hear the turbo blow off pressure now with it removed, i also installed a stage 2 AFE intake.

i have found w/ my current set-up, anything over 60 mph the whistle is louder than the motor, i tried to get a video of it but you couldn't make out the whistle

mine is loud as hell! i hear it really good over 10 psi. and when you go upto 25 or more it sounds like a police siren. freaked me out at first.
