01 f250 engine swap

can anyone tell me if a 7.3 out of a 95 shuttlebus will fit into an 01 f250 without any big issues?

Um depends if the 95 engine is actually the Powerstroke or not. If it is not the powerstroke engine then it will not work in your truck.

If it is the powerstroke then it should work fine.

Another thing is yes it will fit, but will it work is the better question. Which I provided the answer above.

Also you may need to replace the pcm to work. Being the early powerstroke engines were rated different for hp and what not. Also your pcm is most likely coded differently then the one for the 95 engine.

Another thing is the early powerstroke engines were rated with lower hp and torq numbers too.

I would stay with in the 99-03 7.3L powerstroke engine time frame. As this would allow for the easiest swap.

I second that! This would be the easiest swap. Take the 95 block and use all your engine accessories from the original engine.
