Question about the IDM

I got my 99 f-350 injectors tested today and they found that #3 and #8 are faulty and they also found that the IDM is also faulty. My question is that how can they be faulty when my truck runs smooth and has balls like you wouldn't beleave!

I would need to know the codes. No print out of anything? There are a few idm codes that could mean different things.

Swamps diesel has modded idm's you can buy. I don't recommend doing anything to them after they work on them.

Do you have a gray CPS installed by chance? Not uncommon for #3 and #8 to fail CCT with the gray CPS.
