Riding Dirty
I have read recently a few threads on running lights and fogs with out headlights on. Some one posted that there headlight switch pulled out to turn on fogs. Just messing around i pulled on my headlight switch and it pulls out but only in full on position. I do not have factory fogs. but i do have fogs. I also read there is a mod to make the head light switch pull out in any position to turn on fogs. I have not pulled switch out yet to see if there are extra poles on it for fogs I am just assuming there is cuz it pulls out.
Any help or links would be great thanks |

I have never tried that, never even heard of it, I have my fogs wired up to come on with the high beams!

On my 04 I can have parklights with fogs or headlight with fogs. Maybe they changed the switch when the 6.0 came around.
Maybe you could see if a later modle switch will work for you if not just return it. Soon I'm gona do the fogs with highbeam mod. Fog Light OverRide |

You have to grind down the ramp in the switch. Then jumper 2 wires. And pull the fog light fuse. After that your fogs will be on when ever you pull the switch out, alone, low or high beams. Some states will fail you for this (PA is one) So I had to rig it up on an inline switch and just put the fuse back in for inspection.
I'm sorry but I do not remember the 2 wires to jump. You might be able to figure it out by my pictures. 2001 F250. ![]() ![]()

He does but he has factory fogs I am going to have to wire in my aftermarket fogs. I never even knew my switch pulled out.
