how to turn rev limiter off

Just mant to know how to turn the rev limiter off of a 2002 powerstroke 7.3 i had a superchip in it and it automaticly turned it off but then i put a triple dog bully dog in it and it dose not turn it off any ideas

Are you possibly asking about the speed limiter? You would not want to turn the rev limiter off.

I agree you dont want to turn off the rev limiter off. That tends to lead to bent pushrods among other things. Are you sure you dont mean the speed limiter

Are you getting a CEL light? Can you feel the power drop when the CEL comes on? Do you have gages? I do not know much about the Bully dog stuff. But the chip i am running will make to much boost and cause the ECM to atomaticaly defuel.

yeah that is what i mean is the speed limiter and i do have auto meter gauges and it is a standard 6 speed and at 93 ish the truck wants to die but stays running and the superchip i did have in it i was doing over 125 mph is there anyway to turn it off besides a chip

No you need a chip or programmer to do that

You may think about Ebaying the bullydog for a custom tuned chip.

well i thought the bully dog would do the same thing as the super chip thats y i bought it and it gave me alot more power then the super chip and yes a buddy at work let me try the super chip
