Spare Tire Key replacement

I finally decided to follow through on finding a replacement key for the spare tire winch on my 03. Called around and talked to a couple of service/parts departments (they seem to be on opposite sides of the dealership for some reason) and found one that had the necessary set. It had 15 different keys snapped into a plastic case like a socket set, and we just went through them one at a time until one fit. Then they took just about everything but fingerprints and a dna sample, and ordered it from McGard. Not sure how much or how long yet, but I just wanted to share a potential success story. The funny thing is several dealers had no idea that you could even get a replacement. I'll bet there is probably one guy in each shop that knew about it, and of course, he is not the one answering the phone!
I'll try to remember to post how long it took and how much it cost.

Yep I had sucess getting me one from my dealership on the first try they had the set and did the same thing , Mine ran me 25.00 , I found out the hard way not knowing i needed a darn key till i had flat .
