ladder bars

i can have some bad wheel hop sometmes and i can get some steal for free so im thinking about making a set of bars.. what size medal should i use and how long. what setup are you guys running. my trucks and ex cab long bed.

they should be parrell to the drive shaft. So which ever length that is.
