Question transfer case

I decided to change the transfer case fluid while I was doing the rear diff. Anyway my driveway is on a slight increase and I am wondering exactly how much fluid it takes. I squeezed about 2 and a half quarts in. Does that sound about right?

Built engine, rods, pushrods, cam, springs. Meth, turbo, injectors, fuel system, oil system. 3 disk billet, billet shafts built trans, 6.0 IC, exhaust, intake. Latter bars, gears, system, tint, HIDs. You know the typical stuff to make a 7.3 get out of its own way...

i have a 97 but the chiltons manual said to fill it until it pours out of the fill plug. i think there is a drain and a fill plug.
