CB Mounting Location

Anybody with a 4x4 and 6sp have any suggestions for a suitable cb mounting location? Everywhere I've seen on here has one mounted just under the little cubby hole, but this locations has clearance issues for me. Seems everyone either has 2wd or an auto trans.

That's where my neighbor put his, and that's where I'm going to put my CB and HAM radios when I get around to it. We both have 2002's with 4R100. The only issue I can see with that location is security.
