Oil pressure?
How long does it take for your oil light to go off after starting your engine? Mine usually takes 4-5 seconds but sometimes as little as 3 seconds and sometimes as much as 6 seconds. The 3 seconds is usually on a cold start and the 6 seconds is usually a warm start. Just wondering if this is the norm. I don't like the idea of my engine running as much as 6 seconds with no oil running through it on start up. I guess it would take a little bit of time to pump 15 qts of oil through the engine.

i have a 6 0 and when its cold it takes about 4 5 seconds when its warm about 2 so i would guess its normal. it does have to pressurize the entire oil system though for it to read so i would imagine it would take a few seconds
