2001 F250 - door lock/Fuel/Air Bag....

I have a 2001 Ford PS I just picked up. It has 64,000 Original Miles. A older gent owned it and has taken care of it but has done NO maintenance except for change the fluids. So it needs brakes, ball joints ect. Anyways for my questions.

Maybe this is a common issue and I will get flammed for not searching to well (I am on other forums and no how I hate the same question over and over).

But I have having issues with the door locks, fuel gauge and Air Bag light.


Door Locks - Don't matter if I hit the fab or not. But I click it and it will open once. Then after that acts like its hanging up. If I wait about 10 mins it will do it again. If I hit lock it will lock but not open.

Fuel Gauge - I took it on a 80 Miles trip. The gauge was at 1/4 tank. It never seemed to move the entire time. I parked and went and did are thing. came back and started the truck.....The fuel light was on. Weird.

Airbag Light - The air bag light flickers a couple times when I first start it and then turns on completely and never comes off.

I heard there where some recalls on it and I should have it looked at for them. But being on 54k line right now is pissing me off.

heres a bump i know i read something about the door locks and have heard of the other problems but i cant remember what was wrong

I have been searching for a while and Have only found out stuff about the CPS sensor ect.

I had the same problem with my door locks on my 2000 F-250. I replaced the door lock actuators and they work fine now. It took me about 30 minutes and a couple of beers for the job. Good luck.
