buying truck

hey guys on sunday im goin to look at a 2000 7.3 f350 it has a 173,000 an he is asking 7500 is there any thing i should look for also I know the 7.3s last but am alittle nervious on the miles.

I would ask the owner for any maint documentation that has been done. Anything like fluid changes,filter changes, brakes, ball joints. Ask if its the stock trans. The motor should be okay as long as the oil changes were done and a good air filter was always used. Check the oil pan its notorious for rusting out and you have to pull the engine to replace it. There is a writeup on here of what to look for when buying a superduty. I will see if I can find it for you.
