Do any of you know the size of pipe that a stock exhaust uses? I have an 02 and want to take the muffler out of it.

I've taken a couple trucks to a local muffler shop and they cut the muffler out and weld in a straight pipe for $50, and it takes about 20 min. They do cat and muffler for about $75.

exhaust pipe size

I certainly agree that the size of the exhaust pipe is around 3 - 3.5". I also prefer having some thing like this exhaust pipe flanges to improve the exhaust pipe performance.
