a friend of mine totaled his 03 7.3 worktruck and now i have an opportunity to buy it from the insurance company.

rather than rebuild it, have it inspected then be issued a reconstructed title. is there a place i can buy a cab and clean title for a dwr? i have a good line on the rest of the parts i need; i just need a standard cab with vin numbers and matching clean title.

a junkyard, a forum member, any help would be great because i would like to find as much as possible before i buy it.

no pics yet but if i get it there will be plenty.

damage is front, all of the right side including cab and airbag. we haven't nailed a exact figure but the appraiser said 3-4k for a ball park range.

whats the difference from the 03 engine to the earlier years?

Rods. Everyone likes 99 for the forged rods. Vs the PMR, stock is doesnt really matter but when you start making power, you will add ventalation in your block pretty easily.

Should be the same. Besides the rods you should be good to go. If you can... find yourself a set of 7.3 forged rods and swap them into the 02 motor while it is out!
