7.3 VS. 6.0

here is a question that i would like to have some input on.

who would win a 1/4 mile race:

1. a 7.3 with 4" exhaust, intake, and custom tuned (like dp or tw).
2. a 6.0 with 4" exhaust, intake, with canned tunes (like predator or hypertech).

Hate to say it but my money is on the 6.0

it would still be close even if the 6.0 didnt have any tunes at all

with that combo, for sure the 6.0. by several lengths.

Built engine, rods, pushrods, cam, springs. Meth, turbo, injectors, fuel system, oil system. 3 disk billet, billet shafts built trans, 6.0 IC, exhaust, intake. Latter bars, gears, system, tint, HIDs. You know the typical stuff to make a 7.3 get out of its own way... dont brake.

but, the 7.3 stock block heads and gaskets will handle it many many more times in a row with no problems. lol.

I drive both trucks in my sig nearly everyday and without a doubt the 6.0 would kill my truck. I never give her the chance to get next to me at a light since I know what her truck can do to mine.

Not sure what this guy's 6.0 had for a chip, but at the track I was running the exact same times as him. I know he had an intake and exhaust and it smoked quite a bit. I'm guessing it was a superchip or similar.

Probly the 6.0, bro.

2004 F-250, ZF-6, 03 turbo 4" mbrp exh. PHP reprogrammed FICM, sct X3, egr delete, auto meter ultra lite boost & pyro, arp head studs, firestone destination m/t's. ccv mod, mag hytec diff covers, 35% tint, dieselsite coolant filter, cat elc, B&W gooseneck hitch.

I was curious because there was a dually that i ran light to light and we were neck and neck. he said he had a superchips on the highest setting and i was on my dp 140. i didnt ask him about the intake or exhaust but i could hear that he had it. he did have big wheels and tires. would 22.5 inch wheels make a big difference? would he have creamed me if he was on stocks?
