I resurrected a trial program

So today I was checking on my brand new DIY intake and replacing the battery terminal bolts and just generally cleaning them. So I figured I would let them computer lose all power just to clear it/flash it/whatever. I did and got the batteries hooked. Started it up to test it and it worked great. Went in, washed off, then went for a drive.
Felt like it was driving weird, more power, different shift points. I thought "what the heck did i to the computer?"
Well got onto the road and hammered because . . . well just cause I can
And WOWOWOWOW! I got a bunch of smoke, and this sucker took off. At this point I'm REALLY wondering what I did to the computer. Then I remember that right before Thanksgiving i had got the trial version of the Tow/Economy program. And that's what it was.

So has anyone ever heard of this?

I am not sure I would like the idea that this tune hangs around in the PCM forever!! Just sounds like a possible nightmare down the road. Maybe it's nothing to worry about, don't know, but I am happy you are happy!!

yea it doesn't necessarily seem ok. i mean it reverts back to stock so that's still in there but i guess it's INSIDE the bully dog trial. really weird. do you know how much it costs to reflash a pcm?
