6.0 Trans Cooler Question
Is there a big difference in colling between the 31 and 25 row coolers? I'm having trouble a decent priced 31 row in my area but have found a 25 row one for $100. I'm not getting real hot, hitting 200 in traffic pulling my fifth wheel, my worry is that it's not even summer here yet and what's it gonna do when I start hitting the hills this summer, so i gotta get this done as soon as possible. Anyone used both that could give me a good comparison?

I am not sure. I can't imagine that there would be a huge difference. The 25 row one is still huge compared to the stocker.

I would say biggest is best but it depends on the price. say 150 for the bigger one? Heck yea I would spend it, but maybe 300, I would pass (maybe..). Think of it as cheap insurance. would you spend 200 bucks to help the life of a 2k to 4k tranny? I would.... we all spend mucho bucks on stuff that is not really needed, whats a few more!

True, was more in a hurry to get this done cause I'm not real comfortable towing the beast with this issue. Guess I'll have to be patient and wait for one to come along, thanks guys.

The 25 will more than meet your needs. I have one of the early 6.0 coolers on my truck, and IIRC the 28 row was early and the 31 came later on. I did this before it was the popular mod!! My truck has never seen temps above 190 and even then I was towing heavy, and slow in reverse uphill!! For $100 I would grab it and never look back!!
