ok someone please explain the engine ratings
well my 2000 f 250 only has 235hp and my buddys early 99 350 has 250hp.
what gives there. can someone please explain this. |

Is your buddies a manual trans truck?

Are they both stock? The early 99s were supposed to have different programming that gives them less then the later models.

numbers are coming from the stickers on the valve covers im betting. Hence the reason for question

Yeah the sticker on my valve cover says it's rated for 250Bhp. I don't know if that's accurate or not.

If they are both stock you would have more hp.

it is the stickers on the valve cover his says A250bhp @2700 rpms that is red writing and mine says B235bhp that is green writing. but thanks for the warm welcome.
also on my map sensor the green wire has been spliced and grounded. what is that supposed to do. |

I believe that is to trick the map into not throwing the over boost code. I dont know if that works tho.
