Need help with a Broken rear ABS speed sensor.

OK, i'm getting ready to buy a PSD (as posted on here b4) and am trying to get my current truck running perfect and am almost there. I posted on the gas forum and am not getting much love.
It's a 97 F250 Light Duty 5.4. It pulled a code for rear ABS speed sensor in the rear diff. Well I fat fingered it and busted it trying to take it off. I unplugged it then broke the entire plastic piece off and the magnet came out. What is left is a metal sleeve in my diff. that is stuck. I can get it to move about a 1/4 inch, but that's it. I tried pulling on it (pretty good) and turning it and it will not come out!!!
I have the new one ready to put in but am frikken stuck!!! Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

i'm replacing the rear abs speed sensor and did the same exact thing. broke the old sensor and the metal sleeve is the only thing left, moving about 1/4 in. how did you get it out?
