i have a bully dog six position chip, great performance but it'll run the turbo up to about 30 pounds. is this too much for a stock turbo?

well i guess it fluctuates a little when it makes the noise, is the noise turbo surge? it sounds like the waste gate but the sound flucuates real fast, but if i get out of the throttle it will stop
