i dont know your answer but you can bolt a 6.0 one in there and its bigger and doesnt take anything to do

Have you saw the 6.0 one? It's rather large compared to the stocker 7.3 one. And that's an understatement.

i got one from autozone and it is about half the size of the radiator, and I left the stock one in place.

Get a TruCool 40K ande mount it right in front of your radiator. I just had one installed with my new tranny build and my temps dont go over 150 now.

the 6.0L is pretty big... i dont think you need anything bigger than that.. if your getting really hot temps with a 6.0L cooler in their then you have bigger problems

I dont know how much the 6.0 coolers are going for now. Bt my trucool only ran me $120 and came with all the hardware and hoses needed to plumb it inline.

The 6.0 cooler is just a drop in bigger cooler that takes place of the stock 4R100 cooler. The only complicated part is finding 3/8 to 1/2 barb adapters.

I added another tranny cooler inline with the factory one long before the 6.0s were even around and have had no problems with this setup. It is mounted in front of everything top left side of the radiator. Temps never climb above 150 solo 180 towing. Don't know what size it is but it measures about 12"x12". Got it for free so I figured I would try it. I did get my temp up to 250 once but that was driving it up Pikes Peak(14,111 ft.). Long pull, torque converter doesn't lock, and not alot of airflow through the coolers at that speed. I felt better about it after passing numerous cars and minivans that had their tranny's overheat and boil over though. You know it is a common occurence when the park rangers carry cases of tranny fluid in their trucks. Bottom line is any thing you add or change to is going to be an improvement over the stock one alone.
