Wicked Wheel power loss?
I was told that even though the wheel fixes surging, and shuttering, it is smaller and you lose boost. I was also told to just port the turbo housing to 4" for a couple hundred dollars which will take care of it and not drop your boost numbers.
Anyone have verification/experience with this? |

yea, i have a good friend with a 2000 f250, and we put one in his truck....it got rid of the surge and shutter for sure...no power gains that we have noticed.

I installed a ww and aside from the more annoying noice, I have felt nothing different. I have not pulled anything with it since the install.

No power difference. You can't port the factory housing... you need to get an ATS housing for that.

anyone have measurements on the factory wheel and the wicked wheel compared in size?
Why is the noise annoying? Doesn't it make it whistle louder? |

heres a
for ya. I want to put a WW on my truck but I'm waiting to see the answer to your question. I dont mean to hijack your thread but I'm looking at a 1.00 housing for my turbo. Can anyone tell me what difference this will make. I was told it will spool up faster but may lose some power on the top end. Is this true?
