Powdered metal or Forged?

How can I find out if my '01 has powdered metal or forged pistons? I hear not all Super Duty PSDs have powdered metal rods, & I'd like to know if this is true & how can I find out.

There is an inspection hole on the block you can check to see. The website that has a pic and how too is down right now. They are actually called powdered metal rods.

Ah, thanks, vital! "Powder coated" sounds cheap anyway. Do you know how long that websites down for?

All I'd have to do after the injector/turbo install is send the chip back to Tony, right? Then it'd be a big chip???

I just found this:

Forged or Powdered Rod Production Numbers

The valve cover sticker on my engine is worn off, so there's a # on my oil cooler?
