Well I put new injectors in a couple days ago. Everything seemed fine. The truck runs very well, But now a couple days later it smokes a lot on start up after it sits for a couple hours. It didnt do this the first couple of days it just started yesterday. The truck still runs good though. Do you think maybe one of the injector seals is bad. I really hope not.
could also be valve guides, completely unrelated to your injectors, if they are worn, they will slowly drip oil, after a few hours of sitting, there is an accumulation of oil, when you start it up the oil burns, thus lots of smoke at start up.
mine occasionally blows a slight purple haze when its cold, or hasnt started for a couple days. My motor is a peterson reman thru international, less that 30k on it. Ill bet its just because of the added fuel. diesel will have kind of a blue haze to it also when its not being burned at start up. unless your using lots of oil or it does it after it warms up a few min, i wouldnt worry about it.
