fan hub nut removel

hey guys,i'm getin ready to change out my water pump on my 01 crew cab and was wanting to know if the hub nut that holds on the fan clutch has standard threads or backward threads?The hanes mannual said it had backward threads but i wanted to ask yall to make sure......thanks for any info.

I just replaced the water pump on my early 99 and the fan was right-handed thread. I also just noticed the other day that on my fan shroud, on the driver's side it says the the fan is right-handed thread.

thanks mat,just wanted to make sure before i started turnin hard on the nut and find out i was going the wrong way.

I used a cutting torch and replaced the fan clutch when I did my water pump.
