tranny questions

first off i hope this is the right thread to post in for my question...but

i have an 02 4x4 powerstroke with a bad tranny

I have a motor and tranny out of an 03 7.3 ambulance 2wd so im wondering what needs to be done in order to make the 2wd tranny work in my 4wd truck?

Just the Tcase and adapter from yours...

IIRC the output shaft is different between the 2wd and 4wd. But I could be wrong

It is, but it can be swapped from his old tranny when you pull the tail shaft of the 2WD out...

Thats what I thought. What I was getting at is it wasnt going to be a direct swap
