California catalytic converter

I have a question to see if anyone has heard of this.

I have heard that California might be starting to make PSD owners put catalytic converters on their trucks. They stated they will start with the F450's first and then might go to the F350's. Wondering if anyone in California has heard this. Please let me know Jim

Disclaimer: This is my opinion - not fact based.

If it wasn't OE at the time of manufacture, I don't think they can make us retrofit. They have to go with what it was at that time.

My '01 didn't have one either.
