Coolant filter hose?
I installed my coolant filter this weekend and the only hose I could find in 3/8 I.D was marked for transmission cooler lines. Is this compatible with engine coolant? Also had to add about 1 gallon of coolant and could not find the green stuff. I used the Prestone that says it is compatible with all colors. Should this be OK? I plan on running this for about 5000 miles and then changing over to the ELC coolant. I do monitor my SCA level with the green stuff and will probably need to add a little for the next 5000 miles after loosing some of the coolant when removing the plug from the water pump.
