Low Boost

k, gauges in & I was right, I've got problems@!! I have no boost. I got this kid who used to work for FOrd to drive it for a few minutes & he says its not spooling. At full throttle its only 15psi & 1/2 throttle less then 5. He suggested wastegate 1st, then check other things which I can't even think of at the moment cuz I'm not real happy.
The truck is basically stock. No mods except CCV cuz I've been dealing with getting basic maintenance caught up.
Do I check EBP tube, or disconnect the EBPV? Downpipes? THe intercooler boots look good except at the Y. They look like cheap aftermarkets. I haven't been able to find any tears etc & bolts are all tight.

What does it sound like? Is it real "WHOOSH"ey/airplane like sounding out the exhaust? If it is, your EBPV might be stuck closed. That's what happened to me, same symptoms. It cracks me up that every tech you go to has no clue! You just can't catch a break huh. At least you got the Org. We know what's up. You should recommend this site to all the silly mechanics you know.

So explain to me what it sounds like, and if that's it, we'll figure out a way to get it back open and keep it that way.

It doesnt' sound right PERIOD! U can barely hear the turbo. I wanted to clean the EBP tube, but the whinney idiots wouldn't so I thought I'd do it today b4 it snows. I just am having a hrd time finding it well, I think I found it, but? again
They know about u guys, And they know that I was leaving to go talk to the ORG B4 they TOUCHED ANYTHING!!!
My mechanic PREFERS I do so that when I tell him what to do, I can blame u instead He's a really good natured guy but he specializes in those really hard core rock climbers, NOT PSD!! He's learning though!!!

If your not running a chip or tuner of any nature thats right where your boost is normally. In stock form it will only produce about 16 psi.

well on mine its all the way up front of the engine. its got a metal pipe running to the front of the passenger side exhaust manifold. the bracket connects to the front of the HPOP reservoir

I pm'd you a pic. You should be able to find the EBPS and EBPT now. I wouldn't worry about your EBPV (UNDER TURBO) right now if you're wanting to clean the other stuff, cause that's harder to see/get to.
